Spark OES: Spark-Optical Emission Spectrometry

Our spark spectrometers work by creating a spark or arc discharge on the surface of a sample, which excites the atoms in the material and causes them to emit light at specific wavelengths. Depending on the model we are able to tell you the exact alloy composition of your sample. 

Model: ARL 3560-Fe Base

This model is capable of determining the alloy composition of mostly Fe based alloys.

Model: 3460-Multibase

This model is capable of determining iron base (steels, stainless steels, and cast irons), nickel base, copper base (brass and bronze), aluminum alloys, titanium base, and cobalt base alloys.
